The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction is delighted to offer this 1/8 scale version of 'The Enchanting World of Beatrix Potter' sculpture. This delightful sculpture was created in 2006 to mark the completion of the new World of Beatrix Potter Attraction. It stands on the terrace at the attraction and is cast in bronze. It was unveiled in the presence of Renee Zellweger during the filming for the movie,'Miss Potter'.The sculpture was created by Anthony Bennett, a Sheffield based artist, who's work can be seen in London's Natural History Museum and in exhibitions from New York to Germany. Anthony has worked alongside many artists, including Turner Prize nominee, Yinka Shonibare.
The Statuette stands approx 20 inches in height and features -~ Three children on top of the statue releasing a figure of Jemima Puddle-duck, symbolising the inspiration Beatrix Potter has given to children from across the world.~ 20 Characters from Beatrix Potter's tales, including Peter Rabbit, Benjamin Bunny and Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle.~ Excerpts from Beatrix Potter's personal diary, written in a secret code, created by the author herself.~ A figure of a sheep, recognising Beatrix Potter's work to preserve the Herdwick breed native to the Lake District.~ A bas relief of Beatrix Potter's Lakeland home, Hill Top.
All these objects and characters are reproduced in the tiniest detail and each sculpture is issued with a certificate of authenticity and in a limited edition by The World of Beatrix Potter.
